A capable and experienced front of house/host is required for an extremely high end villa in Corfu from ASAP - 30th August 2026. The job may continue into September if they have bookings.
This is a front of house, client facing position and previous experience in high end villas/yachts/private households is essential. The villa has a chef and they provide breakfast plus either lunch or dinner. Occasionally guests request three meals per day, which they aim to accommodate where possible. A positive give-and-take approach is required as the key is to ensure the clients are offered the highest level of service and want for nothing.
Guest numbers will be 8-14. The candidate will lead front of house independently, but will be part of a small, supportive team including the chef, housekeeper, Villa manager/concierge, maintenance and pool staff. They will work particularly closely with the chef during service. It is essential you are a good team player, have a positive and friendly attitude and are used to changing plans and potentially high stress environments and running with it discreetly.
The candidate must be a driver and a car is provided. The candidate must be at least 23 years old for insurance purposes on the car.
It is a rewarding position requiring energy and flexibility, needing an ability to take initiative and work together with a small hands-on team. A back ground in hospitality would be preferred. Knowledge of cocktail making is advantageous but not essential. The candidate must be well presented at all times - Uniform is White top (polo or smart T-shirt), navy shorts/trousers/skorts, and tidy trainers or sport shoes. Smart but casual villa/superyacht style.
Accommodation is provided for the duration - A simple private studio with kitchen/bedroom/bathroom.
The candidate must be calm, mature and sensible - this is a career based role, not a 'holiday'. Days of work is 6 days per week with one day off/week. Occasionally, during very busy or complex bookings, they may be asked to work 7 days, with time off in lieu given afterwards. Flexibility is very much appreciated. Approx work hours: On average around 8 hours per day, though this can vary depending on guest plans. If guests dine out, hours may be lighter. Flexibility is required.
