Cook needed - ASAP for a week - 10 days in Cumbria, really lovely place in The Lake District. To cook for a lady who has just started immunotherapy (cancer treatment) and she is very tired. Nutritious vegan meals required - she needs to put on weight and just needs someone there to cook healthy, nutritious food for her.
A Private Permanent Chef/Cook is required to manage the running of the kitchen in a large private household on a beautiful rural Estate. This is a really wonderful opportunity for a capable private cook looking to settle into a permanent position living on the Estate. You will report to the Principals and/or House Manager. This is a WEEKEND position - the family are in residence generally Thursday - Sunday, so it is important the cook is happy to work weekends. There will also be two weeks in August when the cook will need to travel with the family and cook for them in Scotland. The cook will also need to expect to work over Easter and Christmas. During the school holidays, the principals may be in residence more regularly, but during the week it is just a weekend residence. Days off for the cook would be during the week.
DRIVER WITH CAR REQUIRED. 3-4 people plus occasional guests. Adults and children aged 6-10 years. Informal environment, but large household. Platter style seasonal summery informal but nice food. Bfast, lunch, dinner. Bfast around 8.30/9am, lunch around 12.30-1pm, dinner around 5.30/6pm. Eaten in the kitchen, all open plan to where the cook will be working. Healthy Mediterranean style food required. The cook will need to be flexible around meal times, and some days the clients might go out etc. Number of guests TBC.
