To start asap on a freelance basis
A lovely family in SW5 are looking for a regular private cook, to start off as freelance initially. It’s for two adults and two young children, aged 3 and 6. They’re looking for fresh, beautifully prepared home cooking rather than anything overly formal, and are very open to a chef bringing their own style and ideas.
As a guide, they particularly enjoy Mediterranean food - including Italian and Greek - alongside Brazilian dishes, with Brazilian tapioca being a favourite at breakfast. They are not Brazilian but really like that particular dish. They like healthy seasonal food. Nutrition is important. Currently there are no known allergies but might be some preferences and dislikes but these are not yet known. The role would involve weekday support, preparing, serving and clearing dinner for the children and adults, then leaving the family breakfast for the following morning, plus some healthy “snacks”, as well as menu planning, groceries and leaving the kitchen fully reset.
They’re hoping to find someone who enjoys becoming part of a household’s rhythm and building a long-term relationship with the family.

• Current weekday availability (ideally they’d like someone currently to do Monday - Friday but are exploring options so if you can only do Monday Wednesday Friday for example please let me know
• Please let me know any days or dates you’re unavailable until January
• On a Friday the cook could leave food for the weekend
• Estimating hours of approx 2.30-8.30pm to include shopping time
• On street parking outside the property available
• Please confirm your hourly rate/minimum charge if applicable
• You need to be available to lay the table stay and serve and clear the kitchen after dinner so please do not apply if you need to “rush off”

This is suited only to a cook already based in London and able to fully commit to a regular ongoing placement with the family.
