#1664 - Freelance/Part Time Cook required - Hampshire RG29 - temp or Perm

Our client is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic cook who is keen to learn and work with really lovely ingredients in a beautiful venue. An incredible opportunity to be part of an exciting company based near Hook, Hampshire. This could be a 3-6 month temp placement, or more full time. It would be great for someone looking to work in a commercial setting as part of a team, but working with great ingredients in a lovely environment.

The role will be working with the current team. You will execute the dishes to high standards using fresh, seasonal, local, quality ingredients. This is the perfect step into a commercial kitchen with guidance to gain experience but also the opportunities to develop yourself as a chef and explore your own food journey with evening pop up opportunities to showcase your own skills and menus.

The candidate should be confident in the kitchen, take initiative, be engaging and a creative team player who is keen to learn in the role. You will need to have good time management, organisational skills, attention to details, be able to follow instruction and muck in as part of the team..

The food has a real Ballymaloe/Ottolenghi style feel, so someone who enjoys this style of cooking would be good. Accommodation locally can be sourced if needed. The candidate will need to be a driver with a car due to the rural location. Payment can be hourly on a payroll, or as a self employed person. Hourly rate will depend on experience. It is important you enjoy working as part of a team.

32-40 hours per week Kitchen open 7/8am - 3/4pm & flexibility required to work extra hours when needed around events Expected to work every other weekend. (Mornings only) Outside of the working hours, you would be able to work for your own clients if wanted
