A UHNW private family is seeking a professional, discreet, and highly reliable Chauffeur/Security/Household all round assistant to support the household’s transportation and residential security requirements between Notting Hill and Crowthorne, as well as assisting with a busy private household - full flexibility required in regards to duties, this is not just a driving/security job.
The role will primarily involve driving the principal of the household to and from his office in Marylebone, alongside school runs for children attending independent school and assisting with the day-to-day security oversight of both family properties. They will also require the candidate to help out around the house when not busy driving - such as helping out with any heavy moving tasks, help in the garden, helping the housekeeper - no job should be too small and we are really looking for someone with a positive, flexible and muck in attitude. Someone sensitive around teenage children essential as well.
This position is suited to a polished, proactive individual with previous private household, chauffeur, or security experience who understands the importance of discretion, flexibility, and high service standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Daily chauffeur duties for the principal between residence and office in Marylebone
• School transportation for children attending independent school
• Coordinating journeys, appointments, and occasional evening engagements
• Monitoring traffic and planning efficient routes across London and Berkshire
• Maintaining vehicles to an exceptional standard inside and out
• Assisting with errands, shopping, luggage, and ad hoc household requests
• Willingness to muck in during quieter periods with occasional household support and errands
• Overseeing basic residential security and property checks for both homes
• Monitoring alarm systems, access points, deliveries, contractors, and general property security
• Liaising with household staff, contractors, and external security providers when required
• Upholding complete confidentiality and professionalism at all times
You will also be required to help out around the home when not busy with the above - such as helping out in the garden, helping the housekeeper, helping with big projects, helping with the children etc - it really requires a very flexible all rounder where not job is too small.
Requirements
• Valid UK driving licence with a clean record
• Previous experience as a private household or executive chauffeur
• Strong knowledge of Central London routes and surrounding counties
• Experience or understanding of residential/property security preferred
• Calm, professional, and service-oriented approach
• Excellent punctuality and organisational skills
• Flexible and proactive attitude with a hands-on mindset
• Enhanced DBS check preferred or willingness to obtain one
Desirable
• SIA licence or previous security background
• Advanced or defensive driving qualifications
• Experience working within UHNW or private family environments
• Familiarity with smart home and CCTV/security systems
• Experience driving luxury vehicles
Position Details
• Full-time role with half day Saturday. Family travel 4 months of the year, and the candidate can take annual leave during the periods the family travel.
• Competitive salary dependent on experience - circa £60K
