Permanent Live Out Private chef required for a UHNW family in Mayfair, London. They are a family of 4 and the chef will be cooking for the family only, not the staff. However, they do host occasionally and the chef might be asked to put together canapés or a dinner party. Ideally Indian/ Middle Eastern/Latin American background experience required in home cooking with a fine dining twist. Someone who cooks flavourful meals and used to all the spices. An interest in health and nutrition is preferred.
The chef’s presence during meal service is appreciated, particularly to introduce each dish. Please note that meal timings may vary, so flexibility is essential. Additionally, there may be occasions involving unexpected late-evening guests requiring drinks, canapés, or light dinners.
Important the chef is experienced, adaptable, able to be fully flexible weekly on the rota (it will change each week in regards to the days off) and you must expect to be on rota at the weekend.
There is a sous chef, and the household is fully staffed. Working hours would be 8am-8pm, 2 days off a week that will vary depending on family’s schedule. YOU MUST BE HAPPY TO WORK WEEKENDS if they are on the rota. Ideally to be based in London for ease of travel. Flexibility required with the hours in case you are needed to stay later or start earlier.
Discretion essential. DBS essential, and fully checkable references. Must be eligible to live and work in the UK.
Salary will be DOE. Trials will be paid on a freelance day rate, then the permanent position will be paid on a payroll with the standard holiday and pension allowance.
