#1698 - Farm Office and Venue Assistant - near Stow on the Wold - to start ASAP

This is a really exciting opportunity to join a beautiful rural farm, assisting the team with admin in the Farm Office, and assisting with their dry hire events venue. This is a full time, permanent position paid on a payroll (with statutory holiday allowance, pension etc), and can be full or part time, but with a minimum of 25-30 hours per week if part time. The candidate must live locally to Stow on the Wold, be a driver with a car, be willing to muck in with all and everything, have a positive and friendly attitude and must have a passion for rural life!

The role of Farm Office and Venue Assistant is to ensure the smooth, efficient and compliant administration of the various enterprises as well as providing assistance with their fabulous and popular events venue.

This role requires a high level of confidentiality, discretion and accuracy as well as strong organisational skills, self-motivation and the ability to process information efficiently.

Reporting to: Office Manager/PA

Location: Lower Swell - near Stow on the Wold

Full time (Tues-Sat) or Part time (if part time must be flexible working 20+ hours) - must be willing to work Saturdays (the rota can be done a month in advance, and it would not necessarily be a full day on a Saturday and is usually just mornings). If there are any Saturdays where the candidate is not required, they would work Monday - Friday.

Salary; £17 - £19 per hour DOE (paid on payroll)

The role requires a really good and pro-active all rounder - an array of jobs from book keeping, invoice inputting, reconciling bank accounts (using Hubdoc and Xero) to assisting with Social Media, handling event booking enquiries, doing venue visits, opening up the venue on event days, greeting clients and doing a handover on the day of the event (ensuring everything runs smoothly), and assisting the office manager/PA with anything required. You must be happy to work under guidance, but be able to use your own initiative when working alone. Flexibility will be required and a rota will be set each month - hours/days can be discussed but it is important the candidate is available on Saturdays when required.

Experience working in offices/admin/events is preferred - must be good with tech/computers. This is a rural farm, working in a rural farm office so it is essential you enjoy country living and are passionate about farming, the environment and sustainability.

Must have a full UK driving licence (due to remote location) and a car - there is a work vehicle for use when working Must live near Stow on the Wold.
