A permanent Live in Housekeeper/manager is required for a property near Chipping Norton to start asap. To start as soon as able, the current lady (who has been there for 8 years) is leaving on 20th December so they would like some period of handover.
The right candidate will be someone experienced and capable of managing a team, and running a busy private household, but humble enough to get stuck in to all the work involved, which will include housekeeping/cleaning. The candidate must enjoy working in a service role, and be used to working for Private clients to a high standard. A ‘no job is too small’ attitude is essential, along with the ability to be a well liked member of the team, and wider local community.
A really professional, discreet, friendly, flexible person required that is experienced with working for High Profile clients in high profile households and managing the team - there are 2 other cleaners. There is also an Estate Manager, Gardeners and cooks as part of the wider team.
It is a large 10 bed/bath property. UHNW family. Essential the candidate has experience managing other staff, handling and cleaning fine fabrics and furniture, experience managing laundry, including the correct handling of delicate fabrics, ordering stock and supplies, ensuring the household has everything it requires at all times, reporting breakages and ensuring they are sorted, assisting with overseeing any renovation work/contractors/builders (and keeping them happy!), and some assistance with the household dog (including occasional dog sitting when the family are away). A forward thinking and organised individual is essential.
Discretion around the Principals is absolutely essential. They are private people and it is important the candidate has the maturity and understanding when they do not want to be disturbed.
2 main principals in residence, they will have occasional visits from their children and granchildren. There is also a shoot there where they will entertain. Not so much front of house work required, more organisation of the household, but must be someone who is happy to clean/get their hands dirty too and muck in with the team.

Salary £depends on experience and expectations - accommodation provided. 3 bed cottage provided with a garden. You would need to pay electric and wifi in there. To work two weekends a month at least. To take holiday when the clients are away (which is usually January and February). June and December are really busy months and no holiday can be taken then. Usual hours are 8.30am-5.30pm. But if they are entertaining, longer hours required (no overtime paid it is just part of the role). To be paid on a payroll with a holiday allowance.
