An experienced, mature live in nanny is required for all round help and mothers support in a beautiful property in the countryside not too far from London. It is essential the candidate is willing to live in (in the countryside), work weekends (two days off in the week) and must be a driver. The nanny will have sole charge, and shared care and must be happy with both.
Family of 4 – 2 young children– from February they will both be at school. School holidays and weekends are busier. It is essential the nanny is happy to work weekends and has a calm, caring nature.
Duties will include: • Assisting with breakfast/getting ready for school/day ahead • Driving the children/school runs/taking to activities • Family cooking, grocery shopping, meal prep in line with clients requirements (simple food) • Assisting with childrens meal times • Assisting at bath/bed time • School admin/household admin and organisation - assisting the parents with anything required • Must be computer literate, able to receive e mails, use initative and manage efficiently • Core support for the household • The family employ a housekeeper so cleaning is not required, but a flexible attitude to be happy to turn their hand to anything, and muck in, is important • The candidate must be happy to work alongside the mother/father, as well as taking sole charge on occasions
Days and hours will vary and flexibility is essential, but core hours based on: • 5 day week 7/7.30am – 7/7.30pm weekdays (with breaks during the day), • 8/9am-5/6pm on weekends. • Days off Thursday and Friday – if the family are away for the weekend the candidate can have the weekend off and work Monday – Friday (dates known in advance for planning) • Flexibility around days of work, and hours, is essential depending on the parents schedule. The ability to babysit over night in the home if needed is important. • Occasional travel with the family may be requested for holiday support.
A kind, sensitive, caring personality is very important, the ability to be the eyes and ears for the children and assist with their organisation to ensure the weeks run smoothly and calmly! Previous experience with children is essential, along with longevity in roles and excellent contactable references.
Accommodation provided in fully furnished newly renovated annexe adjacent, but separate from the main house – own entrance, driveway, kitchen etc). No bills applicable. Dogs OK, but single person preferred.
Salary depends on experience/expectation but a top salary available for an excellent candidate. DBS and First aid certificate required.
