#1657 - Live in Housekeeper - Hampshire - to start ASAP

This is a wonderful opportunity to become a core support for a lovely but busy family, and a very well paid opportunity for the right candidate.

An experienced, mature live in Housekeeper/nanny is required for full housekeeping assistance, and mothers support in a beautiful property in the countryside not too far from London. It is essential the candidate is willing to live in (in the countryside), work weekends (two days off in the week) and must be a confident driver.

5 bedroom property with a separate one bedroom annexe for accommodation for the Housekeeper. Family of 4 – 2 young children. School holidays and weekends are busier. It is essential the Housekeeper is happy to work weekends and has a calm, caring, flexible nature.

Hours usually will be on a Split shift during the week, 8.5 hour day with a 4-hour break starting at 7.00 am until 11 am break until 3 pm then finish at 7.30 pm. At the weekends, the role will require someone to be more flexible and help with the children, and hours could be an early start, finishing around 7.30pm, or might be 9am-6pm depending on the families movements. It is essential the candidate is happy and willing to do overnight stays (babysitting) if required. A child friendly candidate is most important. Thursday and Friday are usual days off. A weekend off will be given if the family are going away.

Duties will include:

• Assisting with breakfast/getting ready for school/day ahead

  • Full Housekeeping - cleaning thoroughly, all laundry (washing, ironing, wardrobe management, taking items to dry cleaners), organising cupboards, tidying rooms and toys, packing and unpacking

  • Ad hoc errands, like taking parcels to the post office etc. or any other duties Driving runs (picking up from airports/train station etc)

• Driving the children/school runs/taking to activities if required when the full time nanny is unavailable - the candidate must be happy to drive the children if needed

• Some family cooking may be required, grocery shopping, meal prep in line with clients requirements (simple food)

• Assisting with childrens meal times

• Assisting at bath/bed time

• Household admin, ordering and organisation - assisting the parents with anything required

• Core support for the household and to become part of the family

• A flexible attitude to be happy to turn their hand to anything, and muck in, is important

• The candidate must be happy to work alongside the mother/father, as well as taking sole charge on occasions with the children when the full time nanny is not around

• Flexibility around days of work, and hours, is essential depending on the parents schedule. The ability to babysit over night in the home if needed is important.

• Occasional travel with the family may be requested for holiday support.

A kind, sensitive, quiet, caring personality is very important, the ability to be the eyes and ears for the home and assist with the household organisation to ensure the weeks run smoothly and calmly! Previous experience with children is preferred, along with longevity in roles and excellent contactable references.

Accommodation provided in fully furnished newly renovated annexe adjacent, but separate from the main house – own entrance, driveway, kitchen etc). No bills applicable. Best suited to a single applicant with no pets.

Top salary available for an excellent candidate. DBS certificate required and contactable references. Must be eligible to live and work in the UK With a full clean driving licence.
