Ella Prichard
Upon leaving school in 2002, Ella did not follow in the footsteps of the majority of her peers. She embarked on a cookery course at The Grange in Somerset, which was swiftly followed by a ski season in Meribel cooking in a chalet for up to 10 people. It was here where she got the cooking bug, and upon her return she signed up to the diploma course at Leiths School of Food and Wine. Upon graduating, Ella went around the UK and Europe cooking for a variety of clients from a day to up to 4 months. She was consistently asked back by all her clients and developed a very good name for herself in the cooking world.
It was on her second ski season where she had an unfortunate accident and had to come home to have an operation for a snapped ACL. This put her out of action in the kitchen for a while and was when she joined the office of Lumleys Agency for Cooks at the very young age of 21. She developed a wonderful working relationship with many of her clients and candidates and really grew to learn how the market worked. Following on from that, she gained experience in a number of catering environments and recruitment industries.
It was when she found herself looking for work again as a chef, that she realised this was her moment to start her own agency, which she had been intending to do for many years.
As Ella has first hand experience working as a private chef for over 12 years, she feels she is the best person to be recruiting for this industry. Not only does Ella know what the clients want, she also knows what the candidates want and feels this is the combination both parties need.
