A senior Chef de Partie is required for a maternity cover contract (for 9 months) in a South West London based catering company starting in November.
You will be working for a growing catering business that cater for some great events around London. There may be the opportunity to stay on after the 9 months should the position go well and the business continues to grow.
The chef must have had previous experience in fine dining and catering and feel comfortable in leading a team of chefs for weddings and dinners of 80 people to 200 . Equally the chef must be comfortable in going into private homes and doing intimate dinners for 20 people or canapes parties for 30 people and be client facing.
The role is a primarily 40 hour week Monday - Friday 7am - 2pm with one event per week (up to 5 hours). Any additional time is charged as overtime.
You should be a team player, keen to work in a fast paced environment, help to develop new recipes and menus and help the company to grow. It is very important you have a passion for food, cooked fresh and seasonally and enjoy working in a commercial kitchen environment.
You would have a one month handover with the chef who is going on maternity leave.
