An extremely exciting opportunity has arisen for chefs to join a brand new kitchen for a new restaurant and Well-being hub based in Islington, London.
The restaurant will be opening mid September and the client is looking for a new team for the kitchen that are really excited about joining a new venture from the start. The company is heavily invested by celebrities and will have a lot of great publicity, and likely to be extremely popular, so this is an extremely great opportunity to start with the team from the very beginning - lots of room for growth.
The concept is a modern day approach to eating and well being whilst building a community of change which appeals to yogis and foodies alike. The menu in the kitchen is entirely plant based with inspiration taken from different world cuisines and knowledge from Ancient Ayurveda.
There will be yoga classes held in the building, and a theatre kitchen offering events and demonstrations. The new team is required for the restaurant kitchen which will primarily be open to walk in customers (the new building is a 5 minute walk from the station, excellent location), but bookings for parties will also be taken.
The menu offers starters, mains, bowl food and pudding. A great selection and wonderful opportunity to work in a solely plant based kitchen. Even the coffee station will be plant based, with the exception of using ahimsa milk.
The new kitchen team should be filled (ideally) with people with a prior knowledge and passion for plant based food and yoga.
The restaurant will be open 7 days a week from 11.30am-11.30pm for brunch, lunch and dinner. If you only want to work Monday - Friday 9-5, please do not apply. You will be expected to work a 40 hour week spread over 5 days a week and you will be expected to work weekends and evenings. There is a generous holiday allowance of 28 days per year. This job is not for someone looking for day time hours, monday to friday - it is for chefs that understand the restuarant hours but with a passion and excitement to join this exciting new concept from the very beginning.
The team are looking for:
Sous Chef - supporting the head/exec chef and running the kitchen on the head chefs day off.
Chef de Partie - you must have previous experience in a chef de partie role
Demi Chef - you must have some chef experience and worked in kitchens before
Kitchen Porter - you should be organised and a fast worker
Generous annual salaries offered on a payroll.
