An experienced chef is required for a yacht travelling around the Mediterranean this summer. There are various dates they will require a chef, and the clients are interested in chefs who can either do some, or all, of the dates:
- 23rd May - 4th June
- 23rd May - 26th June
- 23rd May - End of September
The boat is fully staffed and you will be working closely with a (male) crew chef who is on board the whole season and who will be there to assist you.
Cooking for up to 10 people - and occasionally there will be children and nannies on board as well.
Living quarters is a shared room with another crew member. No yachting qualifications required as the yacht is privately owned. However, you should be very creative and extremely experienced. The clients are well travelled and enjoy good food and wine, and presentation must be top quality (beautifully plated food). You will also find yourself in some remote locations and it is important you are able to use fresh produce (eg freshly caught fish) and know how to prepare it and cook seasonally with the local ingredients.
All cooking must be clean, fresh and creative, as well as tasty. Discretion and a hard working attitude is important.
If you do the whole summer season there will be breaks when there are no guests, but when guests are on board it will be all systems go.
Salary will depend on experience. All return travel costs from the UK are covered.
