A part time freelance Private Chef that is experienced & knowledgeable in vegan/vegetarian cooking is required for a family of four (2 adults and 2 children ages 16 and 13), for two days a week in Notting Hill.
The family eat an extremely healthy, clean, and predominantly vegan/vegetarian diet with the emphasis on all foods being organic; wholefoods; no wheat, dairy, or gluten etc. They do eat meat a couple of times a week. Indian and Persian food are also a favourite.
You should be experienced and able to adapt and should have the ability to cook for a very formal plated dinner party if required, plating your food beautifully.
Days would be Monday and Wednesday or Tuesday and Thursday. A rough guide on hours would be 1000-1600 but this is very flexible and could be more/less dependent on what is required that particular week.
Prep dishes for supper that day and the next day. Possible preparation of lunch for the homeowner for both days but this would be ad hoc, dependent on their diary that week
As a pointer, they tend to use recipes from cook books such as My New Roots (Sarah Britton), Wholefood Kitchen (Amy Chaplin), Be Good to Your Gut (Eve Kalinik), The Detox Kitchen (Lily Simpson & Rob Hobson).
This job is for a self employed FREELANCE chef that has worked in a private home before. You must be prepared to understand that there will be weeks you are not required as the family travel, although you will be given notice for this. This is a regular part time role, but it is freelance and so there will be large chunks when you are not required and therefore not paid, so you should be an established freelance cook with other clients to work for when you are not needed.
The family also have a property in Oxfordshire, so if you are available to cook there for some ad hoc weekends as and when required and can drive and have your own car, this is even better.
