An experienced freelance chef specialising in vegan cuisine is required to cook on a permanent part time, self employed, basis for one gentleman and his dog on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, 9am-2pm in Queens Park/Kensal Rise.
You will be preparing lunches and dinners for the gentleman (lunches to take to work and dinners to be reheated). You will be preparing food for the dog and must be prepared to work with Chicken as the dog eats chicken and has a specific diet.
You should be able to prepare a variety of vegan dishes working to the specific likes and requests of the client. You must be experienced in this field, and this is not suited to someone who has only been cooking for one year or less. You must have extensive experience in vegan cookery and also working in private clients homes and you should have a flexible attitude and able to adapt to specific requests.
It is very important that you are extremely clean and tidy in your appearance, calm and organised. There are certain hygiene rules to follow in the house and kitchen and the chef must be respectful of this. You must work very tidily and be a clean worker.
We have had a current chef in this role who has been working there almost two years, and will be leaving at the end of March 2019 to have a baby. She will be able to go through menus and dietary requirements with the new chef in further detail.
This is a freelance role, and you are paid on a self employed basis. You must be able to commit to Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and not change around days - this is very important. You will be given advance notice of the clients holiday dates and when you are not required to come in. Most bank holidays you are not required. On occasions there are times when the client is away, but you still need to go to the house to prepare the dogs food. If you have pre booked holiday, plenty of advance notice must be given to ask for permission for this time off.
£35/hour for a minimum of 5 hours per day. Usually you are at the house for no more than 5 hours per day and the current chef works 9am - 2pm, sometimes an hour extra on a Friday.
