A chef is required to join a team at a busy family run deli in Chelsea. You should have formal training and minimum one years experience in a commercial kitchen.
You should be a competent cook and capable of cooking a wide variety of meat, fish, vegetables, salads, puddings as well as canapes and bowl and buffet food, sauces (eg hollandaise), cakes and other recipes without having to ask lots of questions. You should feel comfortable working in a commercial kitchen environment within a small team of chefs. You should be hard working, friendly and smiley, able to work as a team, willing to muck in, and happy to also occasionally be customer facing should that be required (eg coming to the shop front and helping a customer if no one else is around).
The shop provides food to lots of different customers on a daily basis and they would like someone creative and passionate about food. They also cater for outside private events, and you would have the opportunity to be involved in these as well, should you wish. They are looking for someone who would like to settle in a permanent position for a good period of time and become an important member of the team.

Hours are generally 7.30am-4.30pm Monday - Friday with one Saturday a month.
Salary in the region of £22,000 per annum plus additional pay is available from working at outside events.
